Every board ships pre-treated with our proprietary food-safe blend of tung oil, coconut oil, and beeswax. Wash it with soap and water, towel it dry, re-treat now and then with Board Grunt “Beauty Wax.” Just never the dishwasher — these are heirlooms, not disposables.

Board Grunt is built by Lance Swalve — “The Board Grunt.” He joined the United States Army in 2009 and still serves in the Illinois National Guard as a Sergeant First Class, 68W combat medic. The same hands that train to put people back together build every board in the shop: carefully, honestly, and to last. Buy a board, support a soldier's craft.
